Matt the Electrician stopped in at the Hopmonk Tavern in Novato, Ca to strum and sing his way through an enriching set last Sunday. Matt's music is solidly rooted in the folk tradition but never feels mired in its cliches and limitations. His voice has the perfect mix of fluidity and bite to deliver his heartfelt tales of navigating the modern world. He says all of his songs are for his wife and I believe him. Matt's got an ambitious collaborative album project in the works with a novel delivery method.
